Gisele Anderson dies at 77

Chesterton resident Gisele J. Anderson, 77, died Tuesday, Oct. 20, 2009.

She was born on May 24, 1932, in Quebec, Canada, the youngest of 14 children and the daughter of Elphege and Louise Anne Thibault, who preceded her in death.

She was also preceded in death by her husband, Robert Joseph Anderson.

She is survived by a son, Jean-Pierre (Kelly) Anderson of Chesterton; a daughter, Michele (Tony) Pundrich of Chesterton; a brother, Robert Thibault of Quebec; four sisters, Irene Bonsain of Quebec, Rachel Thibault of Quebec, Lucille (Lawrence) LaVelle of Chesterton, and Aline Thibault of Quebec; and four grandchildren, Alex and Cortney Anderson and Maxwell and Nickolas Pundrich.

Gisele was a member of St. Patrick’s Church and of the Chesterton United Methodist Church. She loved shopping, cooking, eating out, and her family.

A memorial visitation is scheduled from 10 to 11 a.m. Friday, Oct. 23, at Chesterton United Methodist Church, 434 S. Second St. in Chesterton.

A memorial service will begin at 11 a.m. and a luncheon will follow the service at the church.
