George L. Estill age 54 of Westville, passed away Thursday July 16, 2009 at the Hines Veteran’s Hospital in Chicago.

He was born on August 24, 1954 in Gary, the son of John and Georgianna (Covaciu) Estill, both of whom survive in Liberty Twp.

On March 27, 1998 in New Port Richey, Fla. he married Roberta Lorenz, who survives in Westville.

George is also survived by son, Rusty Estill of Valparaiso; step-sons, Christopher (Melissa) Avery of Liberty Twp. and Jeremy (Marci) Avery of Chesterton; step-daughter Nicole (Todd) LaBerge of New Buffalo, Mich.; sister, Cindy (Charles) Haevlin of New Port Richey, Fla. and five grandchildren, Gabriel, Samuel, Trevor, Jake and Kym.

He was preceded in death by his brother Robert Estill.

George was a Psychologist for Walters Hospital in Michigan City. He served in the U.S. Navy and he was also a member of Chesterton American Legion Post 170, the Disabled Veterans of America and the former president of Blinded Veterans of America.

Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, July 21, at 11 a.m. at Edmonds & Evans Funeral Home, 517 Broadway, Chesterton. Cremation will be at Heritage Crematory, Portage.

A visitation will be held Monday, July 20 from 4 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. www.ee-fh.com
