Donald Dean Weck Sr., age 68 of Porter, passed away March 2, 2009.

He was born on January 19, 1941 in Crawford County, Ill. to William and Edith (Mann) Weck, both of whom preceded him in death.

He was married to Loretta Weck, who preceded him in death in 1996.

Donald is survived by his children, Susan (James) Huff of Medaryville, James Weck of N. C., Donald Weck Jr. of South Bend, Kelly Weck of Knox, Sherry Weck of Warsaw, Christopher Weck of Porter, and Dana Knierim of Chesterton; brothers, Bill (Ruth) Weck of Hardinville, Ill., Roy (Jo) Weck Sr. of Robinson, Ill. and Bob (Donna) Weck of Robinson, Ill.; sisters, Karen (Bob) Diekman of S. D.; Pauline (Clarence) Leffler, Willowhill, Ill., Betty Bond of Stoy, Ill. and Carol (John) Hesson of Wis.; and grandchildren, Tye Weck, Jacob Huff, Tonya Jenkins and Samantha Jenkins.

He was also preceded in death four brothers and sisters.

Donald worked as a farmer, was a long time area resident, and attended Faith Mission Church.

A memorial service will be held at Faith Mission Church and Chesterton Cemetery at a later date. Cremation will be performed by Heritage Crematory, Portage.
