Bryan Scott “Bub” Mason of Valparaiso died Wednesday, Dec. 9, 2009 at the
Horton VNA Hospice Center in Valparaiso. He was 37.
He was born May 4, 1972 in Valparaiso. He is survived by two families: His
mother Deborah Alsman (husband Kensey) of Chesterton; sister Amy Jo Hodson
(Kerry) of Chesterton; brother Kensey “Digger” Alsman (wife Jody) of Las
Vegas, Nev.; nephew Payton Craig Hodson of Chesterton; grandparents Clarence
and LoLa King of Benton, Ky.; and the family of Rick Rugg (Linda), Matt and
Jeff Rugg, and Max and Fritz; and too many loving aunts, uncles and cousins
to list.
He was preceded in death by his father, Ron Mason, and his brother, Craig
Mason.
Bryan was a 1990 Chesterton High School graduate who never stopped learning.
He loved fishing, swimming, woodworking, cars and dogs. He also enjoyed art
and reading. His smile, wit and tenacity for life will be missed.
Cremation will take place at Heritage Crematory. A memorial service will be
scheduled in the spring. Arrangements are being handled by the Edmonds &
Evans Funeral Home - Portage Chapel.
