Vivian I. Labonte, of Chesterton, passed away on Thursday, May 29, 2008 in Valparaiso. She was 80.

She was born on Nov. 15, 1927 in Rumford, Maine to the late Francis and Marguerite (Fontier) Tremblay.

Vivian is survived by a son, Steve Labonte of Sarasota, Fla.; a daughter, Sharon (Rod) Phillips of Westville; brothers, Phill Tremblay of Berlin, N.H. and Frank Tremblay of Fla.; grandchildren, Jason (Christy) Phillips, Josiah Phillips, Melissa Phillips and Noah Phillips; great-grandchildren, Derek and Brandon; and close friend, Dee Huston.

There will be no services. Cremation at Heritage Crematory, Portage, with interment of the ashes at a later date.
