Thomas C. Kaleta, of Chesterton, passed away Sunday, January 20, 2008 at
Indiana Veterans Home, West Lafayette. He was 71.
He was born May 3, 1936 in Calumet City, Ill., the son of Anthony I. and Mary
E. (Lewandowski) Kaleta, both of whom preceded him in death.
He is survived by a sister, Arlene Burnett, of Chesterton, nieces and
nephews, Jackie (Stanley) Czaja, of Noblesville, James (Simone) King, of
Minong, Wis., Terry Olar, of Ohio, Linda (Ron) Rasmusen, of Indianapolis,
Sherre (Chris) Delache, of Chesterton; great-nieces and nephews and
great-great nieces and nephews.
He was also preceded in death by two sisters, Frances King and Gladys Hoholek.
Thomas was retired from LTV Steel Co., was a Veteran of the U.S. Air Force
and was a member of American Legion Post #170, Chesterton.
Funeral services, Fr. James Meade officiating, will be at 6 p.m. Saturday,
Jan. 26 at White-Love Funeral Home, 525 S. 2nd St., Chesterton.
The family will receive friends Saturday from 1:30 p.m. until
7 p.m. Saturday
at the Funeral Home.
American Legion Post #170 will hold a memorial service on Saturday at 5 p.m.
