Terry Pearson dies at 60

Terry L. Pearson, of Chesterton, passed away suddenly on Sunday, January 27, 2008 at Porter Valparaiso Hospital Campus. He was 60.

He was born Nov. 12, 1947 in Potsdam, N.Y. the son of Edwin and Elizabeth (Dame) Pearson. His mother survives in Valparaiso and his father preceded him in death on Aug. 19, 2003.

On Dec. 6, 2003 in Lakeville, he married Lisa A. Van Wanzeele, who survives in Chesterton.

He is also survived by his mother, Elizabeth Pearson of Valparaiso, former wife of 27 years, Jane Pearson; a son, Joshua Pearson of Chesterton; daughters, Kimberly (Scott) Everett of Chesterton, Kelly (Jason) Pauley of Greenwood; a brother Keith (Diane) Pearson, of Portage; sisters, Barbara (Dennis) Pearson of Michigan City, Deborah (Bill) Curnew; grandchildren, Katie, Jas, Dylan, Zachary and Mavrick; and several nieces and nephews.

He was also preceded in death by a brother, Edwin.

Terry worked for Greater Mishawaka Auto Auction, was a former member of the Chesterton Volunteer Fire Department and he received a National Award from GE for National Fleet Manager of the year.

A funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 31 at Edmonds & Evans Funeral Home, 517 Broadway, Chesterton. Cremation will be at Heritage Crematory, Portage.

Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Memorials for Terry may be made to the family in care of the funeral home.
