Jeremiah Robert Leffel, of Chesterton, passed away Wednesday, June 18, 2008,
with his father Joseph, the result of an accident in Yukon Territory, Canada.
He was 34.
He was born March 26, 1974 in Valparaiso the son of Joseph Kimmel Leffel and
Martha Mae Leffel. Joseph died in the accident. Martha preceded them in
death.
Jeremiah is survived by his brother, Joseph K. Leffel, II, of Bloomington; a
sister, Jennifer Leffel (Stephen) Murphy, of Douglasville, Ga.; niece and
nephews, Scarlett Murphy, Tate Murphy and Curtis Murphy, all of Douglasville,
Ga.; Jeremiah’s aunt, Sharon Parker (Bob) Sufana, of Chesterton; an uncle,
Bruce (Nadine) Leffel, of Austin, Texas; cousins, Greg (Heather) Sufana and
their daughter, Allison, of Chesterton and Jon Sufana of Chesterton.
Jeremiah enjoyed bowling and had coached Little League. In high school, he
was a cross-country runner.
Funeral services, Rev. William Barnes officiating, will be at 11 a.m.
Wednesday, July 2 at White-Love Funeral Home, 25 S. 2nd St., Chesterton.
Interment will follow in Chesterton Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 4-8 p.m. Tuesday, July 1 at White-Love
Funeral Home.
Memorials may be given to Muscular Dystrophy Association.
