Ronald P. Hlista, of Valparaiso (Jackson Twp.), passed away on Thursday, May 15, 2008. He was 61.

He was born on May 3, 1947 in Pa. the son of Walter and Sophie (Marion) Hlista Sr.

He was married on Feb. 22, 1975 to Cynthia Hovan, his beloved wife, who survives in Valparaiso.

Ronald is also survived by his mother Sophie Hlista of Valparaiso; numerous aunts and an uncle and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his father Walter Hlista Sr.; niece, Sarah; and nephew, Stephen.

Ronald was an area resident since 1964, coming from Pa. He was a member of St. Paul Catholic Church in Valparaiso. Ronald was a Vice President in Industrial Sales. He received numerous awards for his sales ability and was a former member of the Board of Directors for Standard Equipment.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, May 19, 2008 at 12 p.m. at Edmonds & Evans Funeral Home, 517 Broadway, Chesterton. Interment will follow at Angelcrest Cemetery, Valparaiso.
