Chesterton resident Patricia H. Karriman died Thursday, Dec. 25, 2008 at St.
Anthony Memorial Hospital in Michigan City. She was 55.
Born on May 3, 1953 in Gary, she was the daughter of John F. and Marian (Hockett)
Davis. On July 3, 1971, she married David F. Karriman, Sr., who survives.
Also surviving are her father, John F. Davis, of Arizona; children David F.
Karriman Jr. (wife Lisa) of Valparaiso, Matthew S. Karriman (Kelly) of
Chesterton, Allen L. Karriman of Chesterton, Vance E. Karriman of
Chesterton, Valerie H. Karriman of Chesterton and Ryan P. Wilson of
Valparaiso; brother John Davis (Beth) of Argos, Ind.; sisters Jean (Jim)
Hurley (husband Jim) of Arizona and Barbara Davis of Arizona; and
grandchildren Brieanne, Kayla, Madelyn, Calvin, Charleez, Annabella, Stella,
Cassidee and Sophie.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Marian Davis.
Patricia was a graduate of Lew Wallace High School in 1971. She worked as a
bookkeeper in sporting goods and hardware. She was a member of the Twin’s
Club for many years and was named “Mother of the Year” in 1988. She loved to
cook, travel and garden. Her home was always open to family and friends.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 30 at the Edmonds &
Evans Funeral Home, 517 Broadway, Chesterton, with Rev. Doug Klukken
officiating. Interment will be in Chesterton Cemetery. A visitation will be
held today from 4 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
