Martha E. Billerbeck dies at 83

Martha E. Billerbeck, of Chesterton, passed away Thursday evening, January 3, 2008 at VNA Horton Hospice Center, Valparaiso. She was 83.

She was born Aug. 16, 1924 in Chesterton, the daughter of James and Flossie (Pratt) Fuller, both of whom preceded her in death.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Wallace Billerbeck.

She is survived by two daughters, Kathy (Mitch) Dresbaugh, of Logansport and Mary Lou (Glenn) Cole, of Valparaiso; two grandchildren, Christopher (Becky) Cole and Benjamin Cole, both of Chesterton; two great-grandchildren, Alyssa Cole and Addison Cole, both of Chesterton; one sister, Velma DeMass, of LaPorte; numerous nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews, cousins and extended family.

She was also preceded in death by three brothers, Robert, Chuck and Allen Fuller and two sisters, Margaret Fuller and Mary Cannon-DeMass-Norton.

Martha was a member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church, Chesterton and a past member of Order of Eastern Star, Chesterton Chapter.

Funeral services, Rev. Jane L. Aicher officiating, was at 11 a.m. Monday, Jan. 7 at White-Love Funeral Home, 525 S. 2nd St. Chesterton. Interment was at Chesterton Cemetery.

The family received friends Sunday at the funeral home.
