Martha Belle Potter dies ay 94

Martha Belle Potter, of Chesterton, passed away on Wednesday, April 2, 2008 in Valparaiso, IN after a year-long battle with Alzheimer’s. She was 94.

She was born on February 27, 1914 in Roan Mountain, Tenn. the daughter of George and Jane (Julian) Moore, Jr., both of whom preceded her in death.

She was married to Nat Potter, who preceded her in death in 2000.

Martha is survived by her children, Lonnie Potter of Chesterton, Lonell (Angelo) Caruana of Westland, Mich., Lawrence (Sharon) Potter, of Chesterton, Larry Potter of Chesterton, and Linda (Gary) Graff of Chesterton; 11 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by five sisters and three brothers.

Martha was a homemaker and a member of Pines Bible Church.

Funeral services, Pastor Rick Jones officiating, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 5, at Edmonds & Evans Funeral Home, 517 Broadway, Chesterton. Entombment will be at Graceland Mausoleum, Valparaiso.

Visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, April 4 at the funeral home.
