Linda E. Habela age 56 of Jackson Twp., passed away on Monday February 25, 2008 at her residence.

She was born on Feb. 22, 1952 in Griffith, the daughter of John and Marguerite (Ervin) Hunter, both of whom preceded her in death.

She is survived by a son, Ehren (Christa) Habela of Birmingham, Ala.; a daughter, Amber Habela (Bradley Pikula) of Valparaiso; a brother David (Cindy) Hunter of Texas; a sister Becky (Jack) Minch of Griffith, and grandchildren, Joseph and Bailey Pikula.

She was also preceded in death by a sister, Joanne Hunter.

Linda worked as a registered nurse, she was a life long area resident.

A Memorial service, Father Jack Meyer officiating, will be at 5:30 p.m. Friday, Feb. 29 at St. Francis Episcopal Church, 2101 E. Porter Ave. (One mile east of By-pass), Chesterton. Cremation at Heritage Crematory, Portage.
