Kelli L. Thompson Mitchell dies at 41

Kelli L. (Thompson) Mitchell, of Westville, passed away on Friday March 28, 2008 at St. Anthony Memorial Hospital, Michigan City. She was 41.

She was born on Oct. 8, 1966, in Michigan City, the daughter of Bruce and Loney (Huskey) Thompson, both of whom survive in Sweetwater, Tenn.

Kelli was married to William “Ray” Mitchell who survives in Westville.

Also surviving are a son, Adam Mitchell, of Westville, and a daughter, Shaylynn Thompson of Westville; brothers and sisters, Connie (Jerry) Kesler of Valparaiso, Tommy (Carol) Thompson of Chesterton, Tony Thompson of Sweetwater, Tenn., Randy (Michelle) Thompson of Sweetwater, Tenn., Ricky Thompson and a sister-in-law, Pam Oller of Hammond, and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by a sister, Kathy Thompson.

Kelli was a loving mother and wife and brought much joy to those who knew her. She was an avid outdoors woman, mushroom hunter and Lake Michigan boater.

A visitation with family will be from 3-5 p.m Tuesday, April 1, with a Memorial Service at 4:45 p.m. at the Edmonds & Evans Funeral Home, 517 Broadway, Chesterton.

Memorials for Kelli may be made to the American Cancer Society.
