Genevieve J. Haag, age 94, of Chesterton, formerly of
Greendale, Wis. and Naples, Fla., passed away Sunday, November 23, 2008 in
Valparaiso.
She
was born on May 29, 1914 in Two Rivers, Wis. the daughter of Frank and Agnes
(Koczorowski) Monka.
She was married in 1940 to
Howard Haag, who preceded her in death in 1987.
Genevieve is survived by her
children, George (Janet) Haag of Clinton, Wis., Diane (Darwin) Geisler of
Naples, Fla., Barbara (Bill) Pollard of Jackson, Wis., Anne (Joel)
Charpentier of Chesterton, Elizabeth (John) Leary of Newberryport, Mass.,
and Margaret (Michael) Brenner of Waterloo, Ill.; 10 grandchildren and nine
great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband
Howard, she was preceded in death by her parents and two grandchildren,
David Haag and Elizabeth Charpentier.
Genevieve was an area
resident since January 2007, coming from Naples, Fla.
She was a homemaker and avid gardener.
Cremation will take place at
Heritage Crematory, Portage. A memorial service will be
planned at a later date in Greendale, Wis.
