Remains of 20-year resident of Chesterton, Florence L. Pearson, will be placed beside her late husband, Charles Pearson at the Bushnell National Cemetery in Florida, the week of April 28.

Florence worked as an administrative assistant in Chesterton to both Dr. William C. Robertson and Dr. John Read. She particularly enjoyed performing in plays of the Little Children’s Group.

She is survived by her daughter, Carol Chappelear of Fla.

Born in 1918 to Swedish immigrants, she settled in East Chicago, Ind., where she was educated and married.

She died near her residence in Tavares, Fla. at the Tavares, Fla. Hospice House on April 4, 2008.
