Ellen R. (Boehm) Dickerson dies at 67

Ellen R. (Boehm) Dickerson, of Porter, passed away Thursday, May 8, 2008 in Valparaiso. She was 67.

She was born Aug. 18, 1940 in LaPorte, the daughter of Raymond and Johanna (Ton) Boehm, both of whom preceded her in death.

She is survived by her daughter, Marijo; a brother, Walter (Deborah) Boehm of Michigan City; an aunt, Frances (Dick) Collins of Chesterton; nieces, Jenny and Elizabeth; grandchildren, Nicholas, Brittaney, Asia, Michael and Joshua and dear friend, Robin Benko of Chesterton.

Ellen was a lifelong area resident and worked in banking and bookkeeping. She was a graduate of Chesterton High School class of 1958. She was a former member of the Daughters of America Porter Council #70 and a former member of the P.W.P. She was an avid Cub’s fan and was very patriotic.

A graveside service will be held at a later date at Chesterton Cemetery. Cremation will be by Heritage Crematory, Portage.
