Earl Keel dies at 70

Earl Keel, 70, of Valparaiso, passed away Sunday, March 2, 2008 at Porter Valparaiso Hospital Campus, Valparaiso.

He was born March 30, 1937 in Valparaiso, the son of Roy and Emma (Frier) Keel.

On Aug. 10, 1957 in Westville, he married Carol Wale, who survives.

He is also survived by a daughter, Terri (David) Coulter-Funkhouser of Westville; a son, Mike (Janifer) Keel of Valparaiso; grandchildren, Katie (Christopher) Coulter-Fry, Robert Keel, Wesley Coulter, Heather, Nathan and Nicholas Keel; great-grandson, Aidan Porras; brothers, Roy (Mildred) and Dean (Lucille) Keel, both of Westville and many friends who knew him well.

Earl was a lifetime farmer and owner of Keel’s Country Corner in Valparaiso. He was the type of person who would rather give than receive.

There will be no service or visitation.

Memorials can be made to Earl’s family.

The Newhard Funeral Home in Westville is in charge of arrangements.
