Violet M. Aurand, of Chesterton, passed away at sunset, May 3, 2007 at the Waters of Duneland Health Care Center, Chesterton. She was 82.

She was born at sunrise, July 23, 1924 in Chicago, the daughter of Kristen (Engebretsen) and Oscar Berg, both of whom preceded her in death.

She is survived by children, Lynda (John) Scapino, Gail (Jerry) Brown, Keith (Pat) Aurand, Douglas Aurand and Susan (Kevin) Kelly; brother Arne (Rowe Ann) Berg; 13 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.

There will be no services. Cremation will be at Heritage Crematory, Portage.
