Thomas W. Wagner, life long resident of Porter, died Wednesday, January 17,
2007 near Louisville, Ky.
He is survived by his daughter, Dr. Katy Varner and son-in law, Dennis
Varner; a son, James K. Wagner of Florida; granddaughters, Callie Varner of
Washington DC and Molly Varner of Louisville, Ky. He is also survived by his
sister, Madelyn Boyd of Lowell, Ind.
Mr. Wagner was a WWII Veteran and was a navigator in one of the first planes
over France on D-Day. He also was active in numerous civic and community
endeavors; Porter Town Board, Westchester Public Library Board, Visiting
Nurses Association, and the Westchester Neighbors Food Pantry.
A Memorial Service will be held at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, Feb. 3, at the
First United Methodist Church of Porter.
