Scott Dewayne Holdren, of Chesterton, passed away Wednesday, May 30, 2007 at
Porter Valparaiso Hospital Campus, Valparaiso. He was 50.
He was born Aug. 12, 1956 in Valparaiso the son of James O. Holdren, who
preceded him in death and Joann Coslet Burton of Chesterton. He was also
preceded in death by step-father, Robert R. Burton.
He is survived by a daughter, Trisha M. (Chris) Pool of Chesterton;
step-daughters, Vicki S. May and Delores A. Reynolds; a step-son, Jeffrey L.
Reynolds; four brothers, Michael J. Kurts, James T. Holdren, Jeffrey A.
Holdren and Donald D. Holdren; sisters, Vicki L. Blake and Suzanne Paul;
step-sisters, Robin Ray, Shelley J. Arreola, Cindy S. Smyth, Susan F. Burton,
Judith L. Reales and Stacey J. Schultz; grandchildren, Kylie E. Pool, Karson
J. Nowacki; step-grandchildren, Chris, Jacob and Ashley Pool, Kaitlyn,
Cameron, Champagne and Anthony Reynolds, Danny and Nathan May. He is also
survived by William Holdren and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was also preceded in death by brothers, Ricky Charles LaHayne and Jackie
Robert Burton; grandmothers, Fern M. Coslet, Myrtle Burton, Rosa Holdren and
niece, Melissa J. Hill.
Scott was a former crane operator for U.S. Steel.
Funeral services will be at 3 p.m. Saturday, June 2 at Edmonds & Evans
Funeral Home, 517 Broadway, Chesterton.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until time of service at 3 p.m. Saturday at
Edmonds & Evans Funeral Home.
