Ruth Deuberry, of Chesterton, passed away Thursday, March 1, 2007 at her
residence. She was 82.
She was born March 3, 1924 in Brunswick, the daughter of Carl and Clara
(Haack) Youngmark, both of whom preceded her in death.
On Nov. 11, 1944, she married Edward E. Deuberry Sr., who preceded her in
death on Nov. 4, 2005.
She is survived by sons, Edward (April) Deuberry of Noblesville, John
Deuberry of Pocahontas, Ark., Bob (Jeanna) Deuberry of Noblesville, Jeff
(Mary) Deuberry of Chesterton and Jim Deuberry of Beverly Shores; daughters,
Carole (Jim) Boatwright of Kouts, Ruth (Al) Gribble of Black Mountain, N.C.,
Bette (Al) Kamaski of Chesterton, Donna (Larry) Rhoda of Boone Grove and
Judy (Deuberry) Arzola of Valparaiso; loved like son, Scott Fuller of
Rockford, Ill.; sisters-in-law, Geraldine Deuberry of Crown Point; 19
grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
She was also preceded in death by a brother, Victor Youngmark.
Ruth was a home maker. She was a member of New Life Wesleyan Church and was
active in Church and her Bible study group at the church. She will be best
remembered for creating a warm and loving home for her family, guests and
friends.
Funeral services, Rev. Mike Cloud officiating, will be at 10 a.m. Monday,
March 5 at New Life Wesleyan Church, 75 E. CR 1100N, Chesterton. Interment
will be at Calumet Park Cemetery, Merrillville.
Visitation will be from 2-8 p.m. Sunday at Edmonds & Evans Funeral Home, 517
Broadway, Chesterton.
