Rush Dean Colley dies at 74

Rush Dean Colley, age 74, of LaFeria, Texas passed away September 21, 2007.

He was born Oct. 9, 1932 in Mundelein, Ill. to Ralph J. and Ruth Lucile Fawks Colley, both of whom preceded him in death.

He was also preceded in death by his wife, Carolyn Fant Colley.

He is survived by nine children, Nancy (Michael) Vrska, of McKinney,Texas, Mark (Rebecca) Colley, of Sandy, Utah, Renee (Steve) Tornello, of Jacksonville, Fla., Karl (Carol) Colley, of Chesterton, Sonya (Joseph) Neisess, of Libby, Mont., Denise Lange of Grand Rapids, Michigan, Dean (Julie) Lange, of Lake Jackson, Texas, Joseph (Maggie) Colley, of Durango, Colo., David (Dawn) Colley, of Brownsburg, Ind.; 30 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; brother, Ralph L. (Joyce) Colley, of Brownsburg, Ind; sister, Doris (Don) Haas, of LaFeria, Texas and Arline Colley.

He was also preceded in death by his brother, Ronald Colley.

Mr. Colley proudly served in the United States Air Force and was a veteran of the Korean Conflict. He was a graduate of Chesterton High School.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m., Monday, Oct. 1, at The Church of Jesus Christ of LDS, 503 Burlington Beach Rd., Valparaiso. Interment will follow at Augsburg Lutheran Cemetery, Porter.

The family will receive friends during a visitation beginning at 10 a.m. at The Church of Jesus Christ of LDS prior to the service.

Arrangements are under the direction of White-Love Funeral Home, 525 S. 2nd St., Chesterton.
