Robert C. Owens, of Chesterton, passed away Monday evening, Dec. 25, 2006 at Regency Hospital NWI, in East Chicago, Ind. He was 59.

He was born April 18, 1947 in Whiting, Ind., the son of Joseph and Elizabeth (Brainer) Owens, both of whom preceded him in death.

He is survived by one brother, Dominic Owens of Griffith; two sisters, Mary Roach of Richmond, Va. and Virginia Kalbac of Whiting, nieces and nephews and many good friends and fishing buddies.

He was also preceded in death by his twin brother Ray C. Owens.

There was no visitation or funeral service. Cremation took place at Calvary Crematory, Portage.

Arrangements were under the direction of White-Love Funeral Home, 525 S. 2nd St. Chesterton.
