Marion A. Aldrin, of Chesterton, passed away Wednesday, Feb. 7, 2007 at VNA
Horton Hospice Center, Valparaiso. She was 86.
She was born July 5, 1920 in East Chicago, Ind., the daughter of Carl and
Hazel (Soderstrom) Dolk, both of whom preceded her in death.
On Sept. 6, 1941 he married Kenneth Aldrin, who preceded her in death.
She is survived by two sons, Raymond (Janet) Aldrin, of Goodyear, Ariz. and
Thomas Aldrin, of Griffith; two sisters, Jeanette Dolk of Chesterton and
Phyllis (Ross) Blythe of Chesterton; sisters-in-law, Suzanne Dolk of Crown
Point, Sadie Aldrin of Hobart and Kathryn Aldrin of Valrico, Fla. and
several nieces and nephews.
Marion was a member of St. John’s United Church, Chesterton, where she was a
member of the Women’s Guild and a former member of the Church Choir.
Funeral services, Pastor Katie Lindberg officiating, will be at 11 a.m.
Saturday, Feb. 10, at White-Love Funeral Home, 525 S. 2nd St., Chesterton.
Cremation will be at Calvary Crematory, Portage.
The family will receive friends from 4-8 p.m. Friday and Saturday from 10
a.m. until time of service at the funeral home.
The family prefers memorials be given to Edna Martin Christian Center, 1970
