Marilyn 'Jean' Krause dies at 67

Marilyn “Jean” Krause (nee Lemster), of Liberty Twp., passed away Thursday, December 20, 2007 at her home with her family by her side. She was 67.

She was born May 16, 1940 in Valparaiso, the daughter of William and Carrie (Shupe) Lemster, both of whom preceded her in death.

On Nov. 11, 1961, she married Leslie H. Krause, who survives.

She is also survived by two children, Kurt Howard (Brenda) Krause and Kristen Marie (Sean) Kearney, both of Valparaiso; a brother, Doug Lemster (Cindy Russell) of Valparaiso; a sister, Karen Brown of Michigan City and four grandchildren, Christopher H. Krause, Hannah Kearney, Nicholas Kearney and Emma Kearney.

She graduated from Valparaiso High School and had worked at McGill’s Manufacturing Electrical Division for over 40 years. She was a member of Faith Memorial Lutheran Church, Porter County Farm Bureau and will be fondly remembered for her love of sewing, quilting and genealogy research.

A funeral service, Rev. John Albers officiating, will be at noon Friday, Dec. 21 at Faith Memorial Lutheran Church, 753 N. Calumet Ave. Valparaiso. Interment will be at Angelcrest Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. - noon, Friday, directly at the church.

Memorials may be made to Faith Memorial Lutheran Church.
