Marian L. Shultz, 87, formerly of Chesterton passed away Friday, April 13, 2007.

She was born in and was a long-time resident of Chesterton.

She was preceded in death by her husband Robert Michael Shultz “The Sandman” after a marriage that spanned 62 years and 11 months.

She is survived by a daughter, Patty Shultz of Dallas, Texas; a son, Robert (Barbara) Shultz; grandsons Charles and Robert Shultz; greatgrandchildren, Austin, Devon, Logan and Zachary Shultz; sisters, Ruthie Kosmatka and Lois Hellman and numerous nieces and nephews.

She and her husband were renowned Bridge players and were involved in several tournaments and had accumulated Masters Points. A former resident of Rockton, Ill., she was a member of the Rockton United Methodist Church, The Rockton Bridge Club and was an avid Bunco player as well as a golf enthusiast.

A funeral service will be at 3 p.m., Sunday, April 15 at Sunset North Funeral Home, 910 North Loop, 1604 E., San Antonio, Texas 78232.
