Leona Anna Ling, 89, of Valparaiso, passed away Sunday, Oct. 28, 2007 at
Porter Valparaiso Hospital Campus, Valparaiso.
She was born July 10, 1918 in Crown Point, the daughter of George and
Elizabeth (Steiner) Prochno.
On Dec. 24, 1936, she married E. William Ling, who preceded her in death in
1989.
Survivors include seven children, William (Norma) Ling of Kouts, Paul (Lilah)
Ling of Chesterton, Thomas (Jan) Ling of Portage, Larry (Cheryl) Ling of
Portage, Nancy (Dean) Jarnecke of Valparaiso, Sue (Jim) Coberly of Kouts,
Kathy (Larry) Howe of Valparaiso, 32 grandchildren, 82 great grandchildren
and many great-great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
She was also preceded in death by three sons, Jimmie, Jackie and David Ling;
two daughters, Pat Laack and Kay Monroe, three brothers; Gene, Harve and Bob
Prochno and two grandchildren, Rodger Coberly and Sheryle Howe.
A funeral service, Pastor Wayne Manago officiating, will be at 12:30 p.m.
Wednesday, at Moeller Funeral Home, 104 Roosevelt Rd., Valparaiso. Interment
will be at Graceland Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 2-8 p.m. Tuesday.
