Leldon Earl “Bo” Bieker, of Valparaiso, passed away Saturday, March 10, 2007
at VNA Horton Hospice Center, Valparaiso. He was 74.
He was born Sept. 22, 1932 in Memphis, Tenn., the son of Zeus Leo and Louise
(Wenzel) Bieker, both of whom preceded him in death.
On Dec. 10 1955 in Valparaiso, he married Ardala Delores Steele “Dale”, who
preceded him in death on Jan. 8, 2007.
He is survived by three children, Bryan Elliot Bieker of Valparaiso, Bruce
Leldon Bieker of Chesterton and Brenda Marlene Williams of Big Island,
Hawaii; three grandchildren, Gentry Arthur (Jennifer Hanner) Bieker, of
Madison, Wis., Dustin Elliott Bieker and Andrew Timothy Bieker, both of
Chesterton; two great-grandchildren, Samantha and Joel Hanner; two sisters,
Margaret Archer, of Michigan and Geri McDaniel of Valparaiso; mother-in-law,
Juanita Coffman of Chesterton; brother-in-law, Raymond Kane of Ill.;
sister-in-law, Mary (Jim) Long of Chesterton and nieces, nephews and
cousins.
He is also preceded in death by a brother, Zeus Leo Bieker, Jr. in Nov. 2006
and a sister, Dorothy Jane “Dottie” Kane.
Bo was a Veteran of the U.S. Army having served in the Signal Corps. He was
a sprinkler fitter and was employed with David E. McDaniel Co., Valparaiso.
He was a member of Local #281, Automatic Sprinkler Fitters. He was a life
member of Valparaiso Moose Lodge #1357, American Legion Post #94 of
Valparaiso, V.F.W. Post #948, Valparaiso and Fraternal Order of Eagles #2517
of Valparaiso.
A prayer service will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday, March 14, at White-Love
Funeral Home, 525 S. 2nd St., Chesterton. A graveside service will follow at
Chesterton Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 5-8 p.m. Tuesday, March 13 and
Wednesday from noon until time of prayer service at White-Love Funeral Home.
