Laura Wiesemann dies at 89

Laura M. Wiesemann, of Jackson Twp., passed away Wednesday, March 21, 2007 at The Waters of Duneland, Chesterton. She was 89 years and 11 months old.

She was born April 21, 1917 in Jackson Twp., the daughter of William F. and Ethel M. (Morris) Wiesemann, both of whom preceded her in death.

Laura was the second of seven children.

She is survived by sisters, Betty Wiesemann and Deloris Kaletha, both of Jackson Twp. and many nieces and nephews.

She was also preceded in death by brothers Francis “Ray” (Marian) Wiesemann, Alfred (Lois) Wiesemann; sisters, Fannie (Wesley) Erickson and Winifred Cota and a brother-in-law, Frank Kaletha.

Laura had worked for Jaymar Ruby Co. and Kesling and Rocke Dental Lab. She attended St. Patrick Catholic Church in Chesterton. She loved tending her many varieties of flowers that were admired by passers-by at her Jackson Twp. home. She also enjoyed crocheting and baking that she gladly shared.

Funeral services, Fr. John Zemelko officiating, will be at 2 p.m. Friday, March 23 at White-Love Funeral Home, 525 S. 2nd St., Chesterton. Interment will be at St. Patrick Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 4-8 p.m. Thursday at White-Love Funeral Home. Memorials may be given to St. Patrick Church Building Fund, or to your local fire department.
