Joseph Kuchta, passed away July 6, 2007 in Oaklawn, Ill. He was 87.
He was born March 10, 1920, the son of John and Katherine Kuchta, both of
whom preceded him in death.
He was also preceded in death by his second wife, Mary Ann.
He is survived by his former wife, Grace Ellingson and five daughters, Susan
(Charles) Barriball of Chesterton, JoAnn (Thomas) Bour, Grace (Larry Schisel,
Ellen (Frank) Hlaner and Janet (Kenny) Honkisz; 16 grandchildren and 11
great-grandchildren; nephews, Fredrick (Carol) and Carey Kuchta and sister
in-law Margaret Kuchta; cousin, Alice Maslanka and friend, Mary Elizabeth
Cassidy.
He was also preceded in death by sisters, Marian Rogots and Diane Kuchta and
brothers, Frederick and Stanley.
Joseph, was a Veteran of WWII and Korea, having served in the Army Air Corps
Supply and Maintenance Co 437th Troop Carrier. He was a lithographer in
Chicago and a member of the Chicago Lithograph Union. He was a member of the
Knights of Columbus Joseph Cardinal Bernardin Council #324, Elks, Moose,
Serra Club International, American Legion Post #131 Chicago Heights, Ill. and
a long time usher at Most Holy Redeemer Church.
Funeral will be at 9:45 a.m. from Kenny Brothers Funeral Home, 3600 W. 95th
St., Evergreen Park with 10:30 a.m. Mass. Interment will be at St. Casimir
Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 3-8 p.m. at Kenny Brothers Funeral Home.
