Jo Marie (Cunningham) Peabody, of Michigan City, formerly of Chesterton, passed away of lung cancer Monday, July 2, 2007 at The Willows Nursing Home, Valparaiso. She was 53.

She was born June 10, 1954 in Valparaiso, the daughter of James W. and Gloria JoAnn (Southerd) Cunningham. Her father survives in Michigan City. Her mother preceded her in death.

She is also survived by two sons, Danny (Antoinette) and Dale Toon both of Indianapolis; five grandchildren, Katie, Madison, Ashley, Elijah and Isabella; two sisters, Lynn (Bob) Howard of Kouts and Lori Smith of Valparaiso; two nieces, Dana Howard and Stephanie Smith and former husband, Dale Toon of Indianapolis.

She was also preceded in death by a brother, Steven Cunningham and three nieces, Amber, Tiffany and Amanda.

Cremation will take place at Angelcrest Crematory, Moeller Funeral Home, Valparaiso. Private burial of ashes will follow at Chesterton Cemetery.
