Jay L. Williams, Jr., 46, of Valparaiso, passed away Monday, Nov. 12, 2007 at
Porter Valparaiso Hospital Campus, Valparaiso.
He was born Sept. 10, 1961 in Chicago, the son of Jay L. Williams, Sr. and
Carol Guimont Williams, both of whom survive in Wheatfield.
On July 14, 1999, he married Sandra C. McCann, who survives in Valparaiso.
He is also survived by daughters, Brittney Williams of Valparaiso; Brianna
Williams of Valparaiso; step-daughter, Amanda Leuthardt of Valparaiso; a
step-son, PFC. Brandon Leuthardt of Ft. Wainwright, Alaska; stepchildren,
Gina Fugate of Valparaiso, Jennifer Malmquist of Ill. and Rebecca Malmquist
of Valparaiso; brothers, Randall (Carey) Williams of Glenwood City, Wis. and
Gregory (Mary) Williams of Oak Forest, Ill.
Jay was employed as Construction Manager for Fiber Tower. He was a member of
Living Stones Fellowship Church.
Jay played baseball with the Angels of Roy Hobb’s Baseball League, Oak Lawn,
Ill. and served in the U.S. Navy.
Funeral service, Pastor Ron Johnson Sr. officiating, will be at 10 a.m.
Friday, Nov. 16 at Living Stones Fellowship Church, 909 Pratt St., Crown
Point. Interment will be at Angelcrest Cemetery, Valparaiso.
Visitation will be from 2-8 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 15, at Edmonds & Evans
Funeral Home, 517 Broadway, Chesterton, and Friday Nov. 16 from 9 a.m. until
time of service at the church, Crown Point.
Memorials for Jay may be made to the family for the children’s future
education funds.
