James Robert Cant, of Chesterton, passed away Friday, July 27, 2007 at his residence. He was 47.

He was born Dec. 19, 1959 in McKees Port, Penn., the son of James G. and Stella (Baughman) Cant, both of whom preceded him in death.

He is survived by his biological daughter, Chesarae Wheeler of Chesterton; sisters, Laura (Ken) Tomlinson of Hebron, Marla Cant of Ariz., Ruth Ann Johnson of Valparaiso, and Tricia Cant of Hobart; nieces and nephews, Mike Tomlinson of Hebron, Amber (Bobby) Furnish of Fla., Ashley Kregness of Ariz. and Kyle Johnson of South Haven.

Graveside Services will be Thursday August 2, 11 a.m. at Chesterton Cemetery, Chesterton. Interment will be at Chesterton Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 3-7 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 1 with a funeral service at 7 p.m. at Edmonds & Evans Funeral Home, 517 Broadway, Chesterton.
