Florence E. Peek, of Zionsville, formerly of Chesterton, passed away Friday evening, Jan. 19, 2007. She was 98.

She was born July 12, 1908 in Michigan City, the daughter of Emil and Mathilda (Schwanke) Groth, both of whom preceded her in death.

She was the widow of C. Franklin Peek, who preceded her in death in 2005.

She is survived by a son, Calvin (Linda) Peek of Ft. Meade, Fla.; a daughter, Phyllis (William) Bakeis of Zionsville; six grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren.

Florence was a homemaker.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 23 at White-Love Funeral Home, 525 S. 2nd St., Chesterton. Interment will be at Chesterton Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Tuesday from noon until time of service at 2 p.m. at the funeral home.
