Evann Krause, of Chesterton, passed away on Tuesday Dec. 25, 2007 at her residence. She was 68.

She was born in LaPorte, on Aug. 26, 1939 the daughter of Fred Lorenz who survives in Chesterton, and Marjorie Frances (Michaels) Lorenz who preceded her in death.

On March 12, 1991 in Valparaiso, she married Carl D. Krause, who preceded her on May 4, 1995.

She is survived by sons, Fred (Itzel) Blackard of Chesterton, and Larry (Susan) Blackard of Kenner, La.; five grandchildren and sisters Linda Byrt of Chesterton, and Carole Loniewski (Richard) of LaPorte, and several nieces and nephews.

She was also preceded in death by a daughter Kathleen Zilz; a grandson and brother Michael D. Lorenz.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Friday, Dec. 28 at Edmonds & Evans Funeral Home, 517 Broadway, Chesterton. Interment will be at Chesterton Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 12 noon until time of service at 2 p.m. Friday at the Edmonds & Evans Funeral Home 517 Broadway, Chesterton.
