Elsie L. Frame dies at 90

Elsie L. Frame, of Valparaiso, passed away Saturday, December 22, 2007 at her residence. She was 90.

She was born in Peoria, Ill. Aug. 25, 1917 the daughter of John “Mack” and Grace (McCoy) Gard, both of whom preceded her in death.

On Dec. 31, 1937 she married Elmer Frame, who preceded her in death.

She is survived by a daughter, Judith (Robert) Trowbridge of Valparaiso; a son, John (Nadine) Frame of Valparaiso; seven grandchildren, Sharon (Gary) Tragesser, Laura (Jay) Carpenter, Robert (Angela) Trowbridge, William (Melanie) Trowbridge, Jennifer, Erica and Stephanie Frame and six great grandchilden.

She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Phyllis Frame; siblings, Eugene Gard and Viola Carroll.

Elsie was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church of Valparaiso. She was a homemaker who loved to work crossword puzzles and enjoy a good book.

Funeral services, Rev. Stephen Bongard officiating, will be at 11 a.m. Friday, Dec. 28 at Newhard Funeral Home, 58 W. Walnut St., Westville. Interment will be at Pinhook Cemetery in LaPorte.

Visitation is from 4-8 p.m. Thursday, at Newhard Funeral Home, Westville.
