Doris M. Kramer, of Michigan City, passed away Thursday, May 24, 2007 at St. Anthony Memorial Health Center, Michigan City. She was 83.

She was born June 30, 1923 in Michigan City, the daughter of Fred C. and Anna B. Schroeder, both of whom preceded her in death.

In 1953 in Michigan City, she married Joseph U. Kramer, who survives in Michigan City.

She is also survived by two daughters, Nancy (Keith) Ainsworth of LaPorte and Annette Klenk of Valparaiso; two sons, Robert (Dora) Kramer of Michigan City and Patrick Kramer of Chesterton; five grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and a sister, LaVerne (George) Hicks of Minn.

She was preceded in death by two grandsons, Jamie and Anthony Kramer; two brothers, Melvin and Eldon Schroeder and a sister, Alberta Kalk.

She had been a homemaker. She was a member of the Michigan City Fish and Game Club. She enjoyed shopping, especially for shoes and glittery things and being with her children and grandchildren.
