David Charles Lawson, of Burns Harbor, passed away Monday, March 12, 2007 at
his home in Burns Harbor. He was 55.
He was born May 20, 1951 in Valparaiso, the son of Charles and Shirley (Janoski)
Lawson, both of whom survive in Porter.
He is also survived by his fiancee, Bonnie J. Lewis, of Burns Harbor; two
sons, Joseph (Jane) Lawson, of LaPorte and Joshua Wayne Lawson, of Minn.;
two step-daughters, Bessie (Scott) Silcox, of Michigan City and Stacey
Lewis, at home; a brother, Richard (Darlene) Lawson, of Valparaiso; a
sister, Julie (Don) Dayton, of Chesterton and several nieces and nephews.
David was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church. He was employed by
Gateway prior to his illness. He enjoyed dragster cars and John Wayne
movies.
Funeral services, Fr. James Meade officiating, will be at 11 a.m. Friday,
March 16 at White-Love Funeral Home, 525 S. 2nd St., Chesterton. Interment
will be at Augsburg Cemetery, Porter.
The family will receive friends from 5-8 p.m. Thursday at the White-Love
Funeral Home
Memorials may be given in his memory for a memorial fund yet to be
determined.
