Clifford R. “Skip” Veden, of Chesterton, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 31,
2007 in Porter Valparaiso Hospital Campus, Valparaiso. He was 68.
He was born April 7, 1938 in Porter County, the son of Earnest and Estella
(McCorkle) Veden, both of whom preceded him in death.
Skip is survived by special friends and care-givers, Wally Musgrave, Glenn
Wiles, Mary Lively and family; his son, Daniel (Kelly) Geissler of Porter; a
sister, Dorothy (Edward) Pratt of Calif. and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was also preceded in death by four brothers, Earnest, Earl, Richard and
Kenneth.
Skip was an electrician, plumber and carpenter by trade. He was an Army
veteran having served in Korea. He was a past member of the American Legion
Post in Wheatfield, Ind.
There will be no funeral service or visitation. Cremation will be at Calvary
Crematory, Portage.
Memorials may be given to the family for a memorial fund not yet decided.
Arrangements are under the direction of White-Love Funeral Home, 525 S. 2nd
St., Chesterton.
