Christopher L. Kennedy dies at 30

Christopher L. Kennedy, of Wartburg, Tenn., passed away Aug. 21, 2007 in Harriman, Tenn. after a lengthy illness.

He was born May 5, 1977 in LaPorte, Ind.

He is survived by his mother, Phyllis Bendiks of Valparaiso, his father, Bill Kennedy of Harriman, Tenn.; step-father; Ron Bendiks of Valparaiso; step-mother, Claudia Kennedy of Harriman, Tenn.; step-sisters, Faye Adams of Carmel, Ind. and Tricia Arvesen of Plymouth, Ind.; half-brother, Nathan Kennedy of Harriman, Tenn.; grandmother, Carlene Kennedy of LaPorte; grandmother, Sally Painter of Fort Wayne, Ind.; aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins from Ind., Tenn. and Texas.

He was preceded in death by grandfathers, Hershel Kennedy and Delbert Brock, Sr.

Christopher graduated from Harriman High School, Tenn. in 1995 and lived the last five years in Wartburg, Tenn.

Christopher attended Chesterton High School while in Chesterton. He was involved in Pop Warner football and baseball leagues growing up in Chesterton. Chris enjoyed fishing and computers. After high school, Chris and his dog Chewy moved to Tennessee.

There will be a memorial service, led by Pastor Jim Eiler, for Christopher at 2 p.m., Sunday, Aug. 26 at Vineyard Church of LaPorte, 2699 N. State Road 39, LaPorte.
