Bobby G Akers dies at 44

Bobby G. Akers, of Chesterton and Valparaiso, passed away Thursday, Sept. 27, 2007, the result of an accident. He was 44.

He is survived by his parents, Robert and Wanda (Surrett) Akers of Valparaiso; brothers and sisters, Barbara (Terry) Littell of Westville, Terry (Robin) Akers of Valparaiso, Sheila Akers of Chesterton, Johnny (Lisa) Akers of Valparaiso, Nancy (Mark) Ogrezovich of Lakeville, Minn.; grandmother, Annie Mae Tucker of Dyersburg, Tenn.; nine nieces and nephews; many aunts and uncles; close buddies, Bruce, Mark, Rick, Brian, Larry, Gut, Billy, Mike M. and special friend, Onya.

Bobby enjoyed fishing and hunting.

Funeral services, Pastor Don Good officiating, will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 2 at Rees Funeral Home, Olson Chapel, 5341 Central Ave., Portage. Interment will follow at McCool Cemetery, Portage.

Visitation will be Monday, from 2-8 p.m. at Rees Funeral Home, Olson Chapel.

Memorials may be made to the bank account of Lisa Akers at Centier Bank, which will pay for funeral expenses.
