Alice Mae Olson, of Chesterton, passed away Oct. 23, 2007 at Valparaiso Care and Rehabilitation Center, Valparaiso. She was 73.

She was born May 28, 1934 in Chesterton, the daughter of Edgar and Bernice (Schultz) Olson, both of whom preceded her in death.

She is survived by a sister, Rosemary (Don) Houghtaling; nieces, Sue Malak, Pam (Curtis) Jones, Anne Ray (Willie Bauer), Connie (Randy) Nord; great nieces, Tracy (Pete) Otero, Kim (Jamie) Randolph; great nephews, Jeff Malak and Charles (Tiffany) Malak.

Alice was a retired nurse from Northwest Memorial Hospital, Chicago. Her favorite things included cooking, her animals Stuart and Katie, spoiling her nieces and reading, thanks to the staff at Valparaiso Care and Rehabilitation.

There will be no visitation or funeral service.
