Virginia H. Scott, of Chesterton, died Wednesday, Dec. 21, 2005 at the waters of Duneland, Chesterton. She was 82.

She was born Nov. 8, 1923 in Michigan City, the daughter of Jacob and Josephine (Jadwisiak) Kawecki, both of whom preceded her in death.

On Sept. 11, 1948 in Michigan City she married George E. Scott, who preceded her in death.

She is survived by a son, Dennis L. (Patti) Scott of Chesterton; three grandchildren, Leslee, Brian and Kevin Scott, all of Chesterton; a great-granddaughter, Alyssa and a brother, Chester (Stephanie) Majewski of Skokie, Ill.

She was also preceded in death by a sister, Helen Stec and a brother, Henry Kawecki.

Virginia was a home maker.

Private family funeral services were held Thursday afternoon, Dec. 22 at White-Love Funeral Home, 525 S. 2nd St., Chesterton. There was no visitation.

Memorials may be given to St. Patrick Catholic School, Chesterton.
