Martha L Robinson dies at 90

Martha L. Robinson, of Chesterton, passed away Sunday, Dec. 18, 2005 at V.N.A. Horton Hospice Center, Valparaiso. She was 90.

She was born July 23, 1915 in Chicago, the daughter of Bernard and Mary T. (Kubasiak) Bishop, both of whom preceded her in death.

On Oct. 6, 1962 in Chesterton, she married James E. Robinson, who survives in Chesterton.

She is also survived by a daughter, Joy Jensen of Ohio; a sister, Mary Coleman of Chesterton; a brother, Robert “Whistle” (Rita) Bishop of Chesterton; three grandchildren, Bob (Amy) Jensen of Ohio, Ann (Ullses) Zevallos of Ohio and Patricia Jensen of South Carolina and six great-grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by four sisters, Gertrude, Dorothy, Eleanor and Florence and a brother, Clem Bishop.

Martha was a home maker. She was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church and a former member of the Women of the Moose and American Legion Ladies Auxiliary.

A Mass of Christian Burial, Fr. Lawrence Heeg officiating, will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 22 at St. Patrick Catholic Church, 638 N. Calumet Rd., Chesterton. Interment will be at St. Patrick Catholic Church Cemetery, Chesterton.

Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. with Wake service at 7 p.m., Wednesday at Edmonds & Evans Funeral Home, 517 Broadway, Chesterton.
