MICHIGAN CITY, Ind. (AP) - Two rare white tiger cubs have opened their eyes after being born about two weeks ago at a northern Indiana zoo.

The Washington Park Zoo in Michigan City showed off the male cubs to some guests on Monday. Zoo staffers say the cubs opened their eyes on Friday and now weigh about three pounds.

Their parents are white Bengal tigers that were both raised at the zoo the past four years.

Zoo director Johnny Martinez tells WNDU-TV the cubs will eventually be sent to other zoos, possibly in trades for other animals.

The cubs arenít expected to go onto public display for at least four months. The zoo will have a video feed set up outside the tiger den so visitors can see the cubs.
