The Board of Trustees of the Westchester Public Library has announced there
will be two vacancies on the Library Board next year due to expiring terms
and term limitations.
The Board invites interested persons to apply to be interviewed by the
Library Board. The Library Board does not appoint its own members, but will
submit a slate of qualified, recommended candidates to the appropriate
elected appointing authorities for formal appointment to the Board.
The Library Board asks interested individuals to send a letter of interest
and a résumé to the Library before December 20, 2012.
Library Board members serve without pay and candidates for appointment must
have resided in the library district for a minimum of two years.
Library appointments are for four year terms and the new terms are scheduled
to begin on April 1, 2013.
