AN ORDINANCE OF THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF OGDEN DUNES, INDIANA, AMENDING SECTION 72.02(A) PARKING PERMIT AND FEES OF THE OGDEN DUNES TOWN CODE INCREASING THE RESIDENT PARKING PERMIT FEE TO $100.

Whereas, the free circulation of traffic of all kinds through the streets of the Town is necessary to the safety, convenience and welfare of the public; and,

Whereas the State of Indiana has authorized towns to enact ordinances that control and regulate the standing or parking of vehicles upon any street, public way, or public place within the town.

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF OGDEN DUNES, INDIANA, AS FOLLOWS:

Section I. Title VII TRAFFIC CODE, Chapter 72 PARKING REGULATION, Section 72.02 PARKING PERMIT AND FEES, Subsection (A), of the Ogden Dunes Town Code, is hereby amended to read as follows:

(A) The parking permit shall be available for purchase from the office of the Clerk-Treasurer upon payment of the sum of $100 each year for bona fide residents of the town, and $300 each for nonresidents. Additionally, beach decals can be purchased for $35 each (one decal per vehicle) with proof of membership in the Ogden Dunes Homeowners Association and vehicle registration.

Section II. All prior Ordinances or parts thereof inconsistent with any provisions of this Ordinance are hereby repealed.

Section III. This Ordinance is hereby passed and adopted at a regular meeting of the Town Council of the Town of Ogden Dunes, Indiana, this 3rd day of May, 2010.
