Track Information Signs
The Northern
Indiana Commuter Transportation District (NICTD) is seeking sealed bids from
qualified suppliers for the following:
Six (6) Automated
Station Track Information Signs
Bid is for the
District’s operations at the Millennium Commuter Station located in Cook
County, Chicago, IL. All bids must meet “NICTD’s” specifications as further
described in the Technical Specifications of the Bid Form Packet. A copy of
the Bid Form Packet, including the specifications is available between the
hours of 8:00 A.M. and 4:00 P.M. local time, at the following location:

Bid Form Packets
are to be requested by either fax or email. Your request should include your
company name, address, phone/fax numbers, email address, and the
individual’s name to respond to.
Bids shall be
submitted in a sealed, opaque envelope clearly marked “Automated Signs”. All
bids are to be submitted within an outer envelope. Bids shall be submitted
on forms contained in the bid packet.

Bids will be
received not later than 2:30 P.M., local time, Friday, September 16, 2011,
at which time they will be publicly opened and read aloud. Bids received
after the above stated time and date will be returned to the sender
unopened. Bids must set forth full, accurate and complete information as
required by the instructions in the bid package. Failure to do so may result
in rejection of a bid. Should the Bidder determine that they need to protest
the RFB procedure; a notice should be sent to the District’s Purchasing
Manager.
NICTD’s overall
Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) participation goal is ten percent
(10%) of the bid price. Bidders are required to make good faith efforts to
meet or exceed the District’s goal.
NICTD reserves
the right to reject any and all bids and waive technical defects if, in its
judgment, the interests of NICTD so require. NICTD reserves the right to
accept any bid within 90 days after the time of the opening of the bids,
during which time no bid shall be withdrawn.
