The Town of Burns Harbor Plan Commission will hold a public hearing on September 12, 2011 at 7:00 PM. The purpose of the hearing is to consider public comments with regard to excavation permit applications submitted by ArcelorMittal Burns Harbor LLC. The excavation permits are for excavation activities associated with the construction of the Deerfield Storage Facility (IDEM Solid Waste Facility Permit 64-10) that will take place on property owned by ArcelorMittal Burns Harbor LLC within the town limits of Burns Harbor. The legal descriptions of the properties where the excavation activities will take place are as follows.

Deerfield Storage Facility Phase 1 Legal Description:

All of Section 29 Township-37-North Range-6-West of the Second Principal Meridian.

Clay Borrow Site Legal Description:　

The Southwest Quarter of Section 32 Township-37-North Range-6-West of the Second Principal Meridian.
